Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023 proved to be a resounding success, bringing together an impressive array of international brands, designers, and visitors. With over 2,000 exhibiting brands, including 550 young designers and 28 design schools from various countries, the event showcased the breadth and diversity of the design industry.
The numbers speak for themselves: in just six days, the fair welcomed 307,418 registered visitors from 181 countries, marking a 15% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, 65% of buyers and sector operators came from abroad, reinforcing the event’s global significance. China emerged as the leading country after Italy, followed by Germany, France, the United States, and Spain, with Brazil and India also making a strong presence.
The support of the Italian Trade Agency ICE and SIMEST was instrumental in the fair’s success, as they invited over 220 buyers and 240 journalists from 64 countries, fostering valuable connections with exhibiting companies. Collaboration with Fiera Milano was also vital in ensuring a seamless and remarkable event.
The digital platform played a crucial role in amplifying the Salone del Mobile. Through the website, newsletters, apps, push notifications, and social networks, the event unfolded in real-time, providing updates on activities, brands, products, workshops, and installations. The engagement was outstanding, reaching 30 million social media accounts, accumulating 6 million video views and 80 million impressions. The website garnered around a million visitors and over 7 million page views.
